1. Submission Overview

JMMM publishes original research articles and review articles in materials science and related fields. Manuscripts must be written in English and must not have been published or submitted elsewhere.

2. Article Types

4. Manuscript Preparation

• Original articles should generally not exceed 10,000 words excluding references.
  • Use Times New Roman, 12-point font.
  • Number all pages consecutively.
  • Figures should be inserted near first citation and supplied at ≥300 dpi.
  • Tables should be numbered consecutively and cited in the text.

5. Manuscript Format

6. Reference Style

JMMM uses IEEE style. References should be cited in numerical order using square brackets. Journal titles should be written in full, all author names should be listed whenever possible, and DOI information should be included when available.

7. SI Units and Nomenclature

Authors should use SI units consistently throughout the manuscript. Standard scientific nomenclature and symbols should be used whenever possible.

8. Publication Ethics and Research Integrity

Authors must ensure originality, proper citation, accurate reporting of data, and compliance with ethical standards. Plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, image manipulation, and citation manipulation are strictly prohibited.

9. AI-Assisted Writing and Artificial Intelligence Ethics

Authors may use AI tools for language editing, grammar improvement, translation support, coding assistance, and manuscript organization.

AI tools must not be used to fabricate data, generate fictitious references, manipulate scientific images, or replace scientific judgment.

AI tools cannot be listed as authors.

Any use of generative AI tools must be disclosed in the manuscript.

Example:
'During the preparation of this manuscript, the authors used ChatGPT (OpenAI) for language editing and grammar improvement. The authors reviewed and edited the output and take full responsibility for the content.'

Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and scientific validity of the manuscript.

10. Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo editorial screening followed by double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers.

11. Proofs

Galley proofs will be sent to the corresponding author. Corrections should be returned within 48 hours and should be limited to typographical and formatting errors.
